day 2 - taipei to hualien

in the morning, we visited the national palace museum. it's filled with many ancient chinese artifacts that were moved from china to taiwan during the chinese civil war. the museum was extremely crowded. it was almost like some international summit; there were koreans, japanese, americans, british and singaporeans (us of course). and i know that because everyone was speaking so loudly and blocking all the exhibits that it was impossible not to notice them. after a while, we all got so annoyed and bored that we fled outside to take pictures.
